Coastal Dive Shop, located in Bay City just off Sunset Drive, offers a full line of diving equipment and rentals. Both daily and weekly rental packages are available. Coastal Dive Shop has been serving greater Bay City for over 25 years. In addition to equipment, Coastal Dive Shop can arrange half- or full-day dive trips, both off-shore and to the world's most exotic dive locations.

Shipwreck off Bermuda

Coastal Dive Shop has arranged for a once-in-a-lifetime dive adventure in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Working with oceanographers from the University of Florida, we will be the first to dive to a fantastic new shipwreck discovery. Late last year, satellite photographs identified a previously unknown Spanish shipwreck 120 miles east of Bermuda. Scientists speculate this could be the infamous Isabella, a notorious pirate ship responsible for plundering British and French ships from 1480-1500. Mysteriously, this ship vanished during the violent summer of 1500, when the European powers competed fiercely for colonies and gold. We expect this trip to be one of the greatest dive experiences in the past 20 years. Due to overwhelming demand, we strongly suggest that interested divers make their reservations today.

World-class diving

Several nearby reefs offer the Bay City diver an abundance of prime diving areas. In fact, these reefs have become major research destinations for the world's most accomplished ocean scientists.

Over 2,000 species of aquatic life have been identified here. The best seasons for diving are spring and fall, when favorable ocean currents combine with mild temperatures to create superb diving conditions. The pros at Coastal Dive Shop are seasoned divers with decades of combined experience. They'll be glad to offer advice to ensure a memorable diving experience. In what has become a summer tradition, Coastal Dive Shop has again arranged a full schedule of incredible dive trips to destinations across the globe.

Dive South America!

Coastal Dive Shop is also planning a 2-week dive adventure off the coast of Ecuador. We'll join top South American oceanographers to explore these teeming reefs. Recently, scientists identified three species of giant octopus in these waters. We ask that only expert divers join us for this trip. Reservations must be made before June 15.

First-time divers' special

For those new to the sport of diving, Coastal has developed several programs to introduce beginners to this great sport. The reefs off Bay City are great training grounds for the new diver. From July 1-4, Coastal will offer an intensive course in diving for the beginner. Two dive sessions per day offer the novice a complete review of safe diving techniques.
